The medieval castle of Cleydael was first built in 1304. The clubhouse, staged in the surrounding buildings -all built in 17th century style- also contains the restaurant, the golffacilities and several onference rooms. Cleydael Golf & Country club is one of two clubs in the Antwerp area that are oprated by the same overarching organization. The other club is 'De Drie Eycken'. Both clubs are located very close to Antwerp and are easy to reach. The total surface of Cleydael amounts to 65 ha. The front 9 are located in a old tree rich part. The back nine's charater is more open. The course was designed by Paul Rolin in the 80'ties.
